Data protection - Privacy Policy
The following information provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit our website or submit one of the forms on the website.
The processing takes place within the framework of the European General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR.
The legal basis for processing is that we have a legitimate interest in doing so (GDPR Article 6, paragraph 1, point f). In particular, this means that we need your data in order to provide the services you have requested (optimization of the website, uniform presentation).
Definitions of the terms used (e.g. “personal data” or “processing”) can be found in Art. 4 of the GDPR.
There is very little data that is collected without your intervention and used for statistical purposes. When data is statistically analyzed, it is modified by us in such a way that you cannot or can no longer be identified.
Another group of data is stored on the web server for technical reasons in order to be able to rectify any errors or clarify any misuse. This data is normally deleted after 3 weeks.
Your rights
You have the following rights with regard to the personal data concerning you:
-Right to information
-Right to access your data
-Right to rectification or erasure
-Right to object to the processing
-Right to data portability.
-You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data by us.
To exercise these rights, you can simply send us an informal email (see “Controller” below): welcome@thehillsmerano.com
If you continue reading, you will find detailed information on the individual data, how it is forwarded and where it ends up. We will also inform you about how long the data is stored and how you can ensure that it is deleted or amended.

Due to your objection, further use of the website may no longer be possible for technical reasons.

How do we collect data?
On the one hand, your data is collected when you provide it to us. This may, for example, be data that you enter in a contact form/enquiry form. Other data is collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is primarily technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of page view). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter our website.
When an inquiry form is sent, the data entered is forwarded to us (the controller) by email. The data is not stored on the web server.
We would like to point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
If you use a form on which you can enter your e-mail address, you will also receive this data protection information by e-mail.
The administration of the data on the web server is the responsibility of the company WIX, with whom we have concluded a data processing agreement. On the basis of this agreement, the data is not passed on to third parties and is protected as well as possible against unauthorized use and loss.

Server log files
When using the website for information purposes only, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure stability and security (legal basis is GDPR Article 6, paragraph 1, point f):
IP address
Date and time of the request
Content of the request (specific page)
Access status/HTTP status code
Amount of data transferred in each case
Website from which the request originates
browser
Operating system and its interface
Language and version of the browser software.
The management of the data on the web server is in turn the responsibility of the company WIX, with whom we have concluded a data processing agreement. The data is then not passed on to third parties and is protected against unauthorized use and loss in the best possible way.
Rights of the user
As a user, you have the right to request information free of charge about what personal data has been stored about you. You also have the right to have incorrect data corrected and to have the processing of your personal data restricted or deleted. If applicable, you can also assert your right to data portability. If you believe that your data has been processed unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
Deletion of data
Unless your request conflicts with a legal obligation to retain data (e.g. data retention), you have the right to have your data deleted. Data stored by us will be deleted if it is no longer required for its intended purpose and there are no statutory retention periods. If deletion cannot be carried out because the data is required for permissible legal purposes, data processing will be restricted. In this case, the data will be blocked and not processed for other purposes.
Right to object
Users of this website can exercise their right to object and object to the processing of their personal data at any time.
If you would like a correction, blocking, deletion or information about the personal data stored about you, or if you have questions regarding the collection, processing or use of your personal data or would like to revoke your consent, please contact the following e-mail address:
